How does a buy-back vehicle purchase work?

How does the insurance work?

Who should buy a group A3-vehicle?

You want to travel through Southern Africa in your very own car which is still very new but you budget is not that high to afford a group B with it’s higher write down? You have problems with driving old cars? Then a group A3 car is your car.

Group A3 Golf’s these are our newest hatchback cars that have recently been added to the fleet of Drive Africa.

With the Group A3 cars you have our newest cars in the Drive Africa buyback fleet and some of them still have the factory smell. They have low kilometers some still carry the factory warranty and are as good as new. They have the newest “old” golf shape which is still available and built in South Africa with a modern dashboard and new designed lights on rear.

This car group is ideally suited to travel through Southern Africa visiting countries like Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Lesotho and Swaziland. If you choose to travel outside the borders of South Africa then the write-down is slightly more due to the extra wear and tear that the car will receive and the insurance also increases slightly as other countries are involved. Please go to cross border travel with my buyback car above to get the rates prices for buying a car to cross South Africa’s borders. You are still paying a price far under the market value so that you can rather keep your money invested in your home country. Drive Africa finances the difference for you. All our cars are sold with insurance and you can buy it if you are only 18 years old – just a valid national or international drivers license needed.

Use this car to explore the entire South Africa with all its beauty and travel knowing that you won’t get stuck as the car is still very young in car years.

The write-down is slightly more that the group A2 but well worth sitting behind the wheel of a very new car where not much wear and tear has taken place. But do remember this group still comes with NO Power steering and NO aircon. If you need Power steering and or an aircon you need to choose the group B which are slightly larger sedan cars which have these features as standard.

Don’t need such a new car? Then go to group A2 and send off an enquiry for one of those where the write-down and insurance are slightly less than the group A3.

The group A3 should definitely be used by travelers who want to travel outside the borders of South Africa as well as exploring South Africa. Self drive is the way to go when visiting Southern Africa. Is your trip too short but you still want to travel through countries outside south Africa then visit our car rental section under “cross border travel” select a car and send off an enquiry. If you need something more exciting and robust why not buy a 4x4 and go wherever you please. The sky is the limit with Drive Africa - we can do magic with any car you choose.
