Buy Back Conditions South Africa



This is an abbreviated version of the contract conditions which can be obtained from Drive Africa once interest is shown in a buy-back deal.
• The vehicle is always a second hand car
• The car has to be insured with Drive Africa or no deal
• Cars bought to be used in South Africa only are not allowed into any neighboring countries.
• Cars bought for outside South Africa can be used in Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
• 4x4 ‘s are allowed into all countries as above and into Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya but a carnet du passage must be bought for these countries.
• Delivery is anywhere in South and Southern Africa. Enquire about costs for different countries.
• An offer made is always due to availability of vehicles in our fleet. If the vehicle must be newly acquired the purchase price will change.
• Prices include all taxes and unlimited km
• A 10% deposit is due within 7 days of signing a contract. Full payment must be done 30 days before vehicle handover
• Returning the vehicle at another location, will attract additional fees.
• All insurance and registration papers are taken care of by Drive Africa
• The vehicle must be sold back to Drive Africa
• Services of the vehicle must be done at regular intervals as per contract.
• The Buy-Back price is guaranteed but subject to the vehicle being serviced according to the contract and returned in the same condition when delivered
• The sale of vehicle includes AA South Africa Fleetcare membership for roadside assistance
• Guarantee – Drive Africa offers a 1 month or 3000 km guarantee which includes driveshaft, motor, gearbox and rear axle and the rest of the cars working parts.
• Group B, C and 4x4 vehicles come fitted with air conditioners, however if they are 5 years and older no guarantee.
INSURANCE – Fully comprehensive
• Insurance conditions are subject to change
• The vehicle is insured through a third party insurance broker
• The buyer is responsible for the excess on any insurance claims as set out below
The following excesses apply:

• Accident: 10% of the vehicle value with a minimum excess of R3000 for vehicles valued less than R 80,000 and R 7,000 for vehicles valued more than R 80,000.
• Theft / Hijack: additional 5% of claim / vehicle market value
• Windscreen: 20% of claim (min R 500-)
• Radio: R 1,000-
• Under 25 or license less than 2 years: accident - additional 5% of claim (min. R 1,750-)
